Policy Officer in the Rail Safety and Interoperability Unit. The Unit is in charge of ensuring interoperability of the European Rail network while maintaining a high level of safety, International Relations and Research and Innovation. The European Union Agency for Railway and the Shift to Rail Joint Undertaking are supervised by the Unit.
Main tasks: delivery of secondary legislation linked to the Railway Interoperability Directive, such as Technical Specification for Interoperability (Energy, Rolling Stock, etc.), implementing and delegated acts and decision on European Registers. Interface with the Shift to Rail joint undertaking and the European Union Agency for Railway and other international organization such as OTIF (Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail). Analysis of derogations requests. Standardisation activities and relation with DG Grow. International relations and interface with DG Trade. Briefing for management.
