Principali attività e responsabilità; With more than 20 years of practice, the candidate is an experienced IT professional who has been actively involved in the analysis and the development of several  projects,  primarily  in TELCO , banking and website companies.

He has been working on Oracle Database for more than 16 years. He is Oracle Certified Professional DBA 8i,  9i, 10g and 11g and now he’s  preparing exam for upgrade to Oracle 12c.

After complete his studies, his professional career started immediately as self employed  for a financial editor ( Milano Finanza – Class Editori ) as System Administrator .

After fulfilled the military service, he took part in several projects in different sectors : Banking ( Unicredit), Communication ( Infostrada), IT Consultant  ( Compaq), Public Administration ( Regione Lombardia) Mobile Communication ( Omnitel- Vodafone).

During the first long-lasting experience, he has been working with Italian mobile telecommunication leader such as Vodafone (Oracle RDBMS, PLSQL Developer , Database Administrator , Performance & Tuning Specialist, development of the intranet with, JSP , HTML, Tomcat).He became a technical team leader of the Data Analyst Group ( 8 resources).

Once finished the Vodafone experience, he started to work for NTT Data (System Global Integrator) as Senior IT Consultant for Seat Pagine Gialle – ItaliaOnLine, a website  company based in Milano. The activities involved  projects for web based application. As well as developing on  Oracle Database, he  planned on doing different projects, resource planning, shared his expertise in functional and technical environments directly with the Client.

Presently, he works for Vodafone Automotive as Senior IT Consultant on Oracle Database. The company offers end to end solutions, including  designs and delivers telematic applications for increasing road safety, enabling innovative insurance products, security assistance.

Activity details:

-Reingeneering of warehouse platform for insurance and fleet companies to handle increasing quantity and frequency of incoming data.

-Based on user requirements, I’m re-designing and implementing the whole ETL workflow, aggregate tables and KPI calculation procedures, using Scheduled jobs, Pipelined functions, Queues, Global Temporary Tables, Index Organized Tables, Partitioned/Subpartitioned tables, Hints, Dynamic SQL, complex Analytic Functions, Online Table Redefinition, Procedures, Packages, DataPump Imp/Exp and lots of other features.

-Set up the architecture and procedures to use Oracle Spatial to get geographic informations with Here Maps. Particular attention must be given to performances, critical for the high amount of data received and handled (>50MLN/day).

Team Leader

In the group of Data Analyst, I was Team Leader and coordinator for core business areas such as Customer Care, Billing System, Provisioning, Message Processing. The group consisted of 8 people.Main  activities:

– Collaboration with others teams to define the data model ( conceptual, logic and physical) for new projects and re-engineering of existing models;

– Acceptance of Architectural/Functional specifications , according to data model;

– Validation of content and performance of SQL statements contained in script, external code, PL/SQL block, and any related tuning, before delivery to production environments;

– Development in PL / SQL;

– Definition and implementation of procedures for historicizing, migration and cleaning of old data or no longer conform to the customer business;

– Performance analysis of individual queries , entire procedures, packages or external code, or instances of database;

– Reclamation activities of large amounts of data due to critical errors (e.g. bad configuration before invoicing, wrong pricing, ecc);

– Migration of Oracle release;

Theese activities  involved  Oracle 8i, 9i,10g OLTP production databases larger than 8 TByte.
