– L2-switching and routing capability
– VLAN and IGMP snooping/proxy support
– security (NAT/Firewall)
– TACACS+/Radius
 Analysis and contribution on enhancement of VoIP services, providing:
– SIP proxy (redirect and state-less); its main purpose was to guarantee a basic
functionality during emergency condition (public network is unreachable and/or the outbound proxy is out of service)

products as “NOT Intelligent-IAD”
 Design and development of L2-switching device driver to support IGMP e VLAN
 Feasibility study for a sw library based on POSIX, to create an abstraction layer between
the applications and the operating system. Despite the abstraction from the hardware
platform was a consolidated concept within the real-time operating system distribution, the
migration of embedded application to different OS platform was still difficult and expensive.
POSIX was the standard promoted by ISO/IEC, IEEE and The Open Group and defines
the Application Program Interface to the services provided by the operating system. Its
usage makes fully-portable the sw applications, while the effort to adapt the sw systems to
different OS impacts the POSIX library only.

tcl and expect scripting
 System test of equipment having routing capability on OSI environment: ES-IS and IS-IS
protocol (ISO9542, ISO8473, ISO10589 standards)
