Responsible for Engineering, Operation and Service Delivery Team in the Linkem IP Core Network.

·         Implemented a new geographical IP-MPLS backbone with more than 200 network equipments delivered in less than 1 year to carry more than 400k customers and more than 60G of Internet traffic.

·         Delivered a cross-functional project to build a new LTE infrastructure over MPLS backbone from scratch in less than 6 months and in less than 1 year my team migrated more than 60k customers from the old Wimax network.

·         Developed dynamic end-to-end QoS on top of LTE network with more than 7 classes-of-service to better enhance customer experience and to grant different user profiles.

·         Implemented a static CGNAT solution (1:32) with virtual routers to better control public IP address allocation, augmenting scalability by 10 times and granting an easier user identification for Lawful Interception.

·         Activated 4 new Internet Tier1 providers with more than 60G of new capacity, 3 new CDNs activated in less than 2 years. Activated more than 10 NNI with other service providers to exchange traffic at the edge of the network in the last year.

·         Successfully managed a fast growing (+400%) in terms of customers and internet traffic in less than 3 years.

·         Renewed the Firewall infrastructure and built the own DNS infrastructure from scratch in the last year.

·         Managed 6 Data-Centres, 2 in Milan, 2 in Rome and 2 in Bari both in Electrical and Infrastructure development.

·         Grew a team from 3 to 6 people with more than 40 projects successfully closed in 3 years. Point of reference for the new hires and human resource manager for my staff. Yearly performance reviewer.

·         Held weekly meetings with my team and top management to discuss persistent issues and to define deadlines for past, present and future network activities.

·         Reorganized the NOC support process by introducing an online system for automatic opening, managing and closing NOC tickets increasing by 30% the efficiency in terms of time answer and cases solved. Point of reference for all network escalation issues.

·         Selected to participate in vendor negotiations with top management and establish contractual service level agreements (SLA). Managed 4 different vendors and 3 subcontractors.

·         Managed IP address trade from the British government via RIPE for augmenting Linkem IP public address space by 100%.

Retelit spa, Milan – September 2010 – June 2013

·         Scouted and implemented a new IP MPLS based Carrier Ethernet backbone for providing innovative and fast convergence L3 IP-VPN solutions (IP-LINK) and L2 Point-to-Point solutions (E-LINK) for business customers, increasing service availability up to 99.999% and decreasing service provision time by 30%.

·         Managed Retelit IP Core network with more than 300 switches and 20 routers, 4 IP transit providers, the most important Italian Internet Exchange (MIX-IT) and one CDN (Akamai).

SESA spa at Vodafone IT, Milan – October 2009 – September 2010

Responsible for Network Migration and Operation on Vodafone/TeleTu IP Core and Access Network.

·         Migrated and Integrated Tele2 AB core network (1M customers, 100 routers and 40G of Internet traffic) into Vodafone IT network moving and balancing all the Internet traffic to the big Internet and replacing all the customers public IP addresses.

·         Performed nightly activities for cleaning and readdressing all the Vodafone TeleTu network address space replacing IP public point-to-point network with private one, saving 2k public IP addresses.

Opitel Tele2 , Segrate (MI) – February 2009 – September 2009

Responsible for Network Implementation and Operation on Tele2 AB IP Core and Access Network.

·         Installed 8 new LNS Ericsson Redback for Cisco LNS hardware replacement and installed Allot DPI for traffic shaping, improving customer experience by 20%.

·         Upgraded Tele2 backbone Centre-South Ring to 20G, avoiding congestion and improving redundancy.
