Project: DBS Bank (Mar’14-Jul’15)

Relocated to Singapore for onsite assignment of 6 months duration. During this period performed activities involving Administration, Reporting and Analysis. Gained exposure to international banking and got to analyze their retail banking business.

• Successfully migrated dashboards from BOXIR3.1 to BI4.1 environment. Performed troubleshooting and resolutions of issues in dashboards, Web Intelligence reports and Universes.
• Performed business and data analysis on the adhoc user requirements for report generation and created reports based on these requirements.
• Managed Blue Sky application of DBS Bank. The application had Xcelsius dashboards, Web Intelligence reports and Universes developed in BI4.1.
• Dashboards created using web services and referring to latest instance in the user’s inbox. Did troubleshooting and resolution of unavailability of latest data in the user viewable dashboards.
• It involved bank business and data analysis in order to resolve issues in the Web Intelligence reports, generating Adhoc reports and maintaining the dashboards.

• Created Web Intelligence reports in BI4.0 environment as per the specifications. Incorporated features like Crosstab, Merged Dimensions, Combined Queries, Complex Variables as per the requirement gathered for reports’ development.
• Simultaneously handled administrator responsibility of creating folder structures, applying rights, use of LCM for reports migration and universes, CMS database backup using MS SQL Server Management Studio. Did installation of BI4.0, Client tools, Live Office and Xcelsius.
• Troubleshooting of administration related issues of BI4.0
• Made minor modifications to Universes.
• Tested reports for data and formats verification.

Module Name: Enterprise Strategic Asset Management – Equipment Finance (ESAM-EF)

• This project also involved interaction with Data Analyst and Business Users for requirement gathering and reporting needs.
• Imported views created in Oracle database in order to maintain performance of reports.
• Created 8 Web Intelligence Reports along with filters and conditions in the universe.
• In this module also reports were formatted to suit business needs.
• Performed DEV to UAT migration of the reports and universe and later on in the production environment. Conducted thorough testing of reports in all environments.

Module Name: Enterprise Strategic Asset Management – Franchise Finance (ESAM-FF)

• Created universe based on Teradata database consisting of views.
• Created 20 Web Intelligence Reports along with filters, based on those universes as per business needs. (Overall 52 reports were created by team of 3)
• Did reports formatting to suit the requirements of the business users.
• Performed migration of reports from DEV to UAT environment for user testing and later into Production environment.
• During the execution of the project extensively tested and analyzed data output of the queries before going for creation of the report.

Module Name: BO Admin Production Support

• Maintenance of existing BO environment (DEV, QA and Production) which involves recycling the BO services, adding/enabling or disabling BO processing services as per situations, Changes to schedules with respect to their events and destination path.
• Doing production deployment of universes and reports.
• Working on the service requests created by GE Capital users for BO related issues.
• Troubleshooting of reports performance in the production deployment. That involved verifying the queries execution in database clients and BO Client and gauge their performance and suggesting the changes in the queries accordingly.
• Maintaining the already deployed universes and reports in the production. It includes doing minor changes such as adding/deleting objects or filters in reports and adding/deleting objects or filters or changes in joins in universes as per user requirements.
• This work profiles also involves helping onsite coordinators in urgent issues related to BO.

Project Name: GL Archiving

It was pure turnkey project executed for GE Capital. Involved in all phases of this project, during this project we had to bring all the data of archived General Ledger from Oracle Discoverer to Business Objects.

• Provided consultation to client on Business Objects report development and its security aspects.
• Developed Adhoc Web Intelligence reports based on the created universes.
• Applied row level and object level restrictions on the rows in the universes as per requirements. Created derived tables in the universes to incorporate the complex queries present in the earlier structure. Also used aliases for the tables.
• Applied row level security in the universes according to regions, users belonged to.
• Handled BO administration responsibilities involved in the project.
• Did extensive testing and data validations for on time and satisfying deliveries of project phases.
• Created documentations related to universes, security structure applied and reports developed.
• Involved in the troubleshooting of the errors and problems reported during user testing.

·         Configuration and set up of BO XIR2 and BO XIR3.0/3.1 products in Windows environment.

·         Helped customers to set up third party authentication and its troubleshooting.

·         Discussed, troubleshot and assisted them with CMS database migration from one environment to another.
