Jan’01 – Dec’02                        Role: Developer                                   Verizon, PA, US

Project: NPD (NJ, PA and DE) Toll
The NPD Toll application processes the toll calls originating in NJ, PA and DE. NPD Toll processes service order information from the SEFS (service and equipment file system) database. Service order data such as PCP (Primary calling Plan), OCP (Optional Calling Plan) is placed on the GUIDE database to be used later for processing the associated customer’s usage. Then the RECONCILIATION job compares the SEFS database to the GUIDE database, adds/deletes/edits data in the GUIDE database to match what is in the SEFS database. RECONCILIATION runs daily using the TAB notice file of daily account changes from the SEFS and also on Saturdays reconciling GUIDE database to the entire SEFS database.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Developed IMS DB batch programs in COBOL
•    Coded calls to the Message Queue Interface (MQI) to get and put messages on the Message Queue
•    Coded Jobs in JCL to execute the batch programs
•    Coded Program Communication Blocks (PCB) within a Program Specification Block (PSB) to define Program view of the Database
•    Coded Jobs in JCL to unload accounts from SEFS and GUIDE databases to flat files
•    Coded Jobs in JCL to load SEFS and GUIDE test databases from flat files/image copies
•    Resolved the problems reported in production and IT

Jan’99 – Dec’00                         Role: Developer                                            FRB, PA, US

Project: Cash Letter System, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, PA, US
The Clearing House of Federal Reserve Bank uses the Cash Letter System (CLS) to process cash letters i.e. documents that state total dollar value of the accompanied cash items submitted for collection between financial Institutions. Cash letters typically indicate the date of deposit, the name and ABA of the sending and receiving institutions, the total dollar amount of the cash items, and the type of cash items. The functionality of CLS is accomplished by CLS IMS (Information Management System). The CLS IMS functionsallow the user to perform CLS daily tasks like loading the cash letters from CPCS (another system which reads and sorts the checks), extracting cash letters and processing them, transmit the cash letters to IAS (another system), perform end-of-day tasks and billing transmission. The CLS IMS functionality is provided by the Message Processing Programs (MPP), IMS Message Format Service (MFS). The jobs are submitted from the CLS IMS Online screens.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Developed Message Processing Programs (MPP) i.e. IMS DC online Programs in COBOL
•    Developed Batch Message Processing Programs (BMP) in COBOL
•    Coded Message Format Service (MFS) control blocks to define the format of the messages between terminal & MPP
•    Coded Jobs and Cataloged Procedures to execute the BMP
•    Coded Program Communication Blocks (PCB) within a Program Specification Block (PSB) to define Program view of the Database
•    Analyzed the REMEDY problems in the production, fixed the problems in the development and tested the elements. Used XPEDITER to debug the programs
