FROM MAR 2010 TO TODAY Head of Systems Engineering Competence Center Pirelli Sistemi Informativi – Viale Sarca 222 – Milano (www.pirelli.com) As head of the System Engineering Competence Center, I’m responsible to coordinate a team of about 40 people (internal and external) involved in defining, developing and managing the physical and virtual IT infrastructure on which all the IT services and the main IT business applications are installed. In particular, I deal with: • defining and managing the infrastructure’s budget, including all the related costs for the hardware and its management • proposing, defining and developing change and evolution projects in the infrastructure area • choosing, architecting, installing and managing the hardware in the central shared data centers • defining the standard architecture, installing and supporting the infrastructures of the factory’s data centers, distributed in more than 15 countries worldwide • installing and managing virtualization platforms • creating and managing virtual instances, both on premise and in cloud • dealing with on premise and cloud governance aspects in collaboration with other IT structures • installing and managing principal databases (Oracle, Microsoft, Mongo) • installing and managing the main application platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft) • monitoring and guarantee the availability of the infrastructure, the databases, the managed application and the basis services 24×7 • developing and managing the required infrastructure necessary for the provisioning of basis IT services for the end user, such as authentication services, network access, security services, etc. • developing and managing basis services like the e-mail system, some collaboration tools, the identity management system, etc. • certifying and maintaining the standard image of the operating system installed on clients, managing the distribution of the software through sw distribution tools • ensuring system performances through monitoring and tuning operations • supporting the development of new systems and application platforms from a technical point of view

Direct experience in managing the whole SAP suite, principally based on Unix, Linux and Oracle platform: SAP Netweaver, SAP Solution Manager, PI, ECC, R/3, BW, BI, SRM, SCM, EP, SAP HANA. Installation, Upgrade, Patching, Customization (Basis module), Monitoring & Tuning, Basis Administration and supporting Application teams, are just some of the technical competencies that i have acquired in the first years.
