Title: Software Tool to Generate NFC Applications for Learning Environments Description: • The thesis consists in an Android project based on NFC technology. • Purpose is building a software tool to generate runtime applications using NFC technology by parsing an XML file specifically created by a third-developer. • XML files are stored in one or more WS-Servers and an Android mobile communicates with them by SOAP communications. • The final purpose, achieved, is to create an innovative method, so to allow teachers to train students with appealing methods in short time. Summer 2008 Internship at Tinext S.A. – (Bioggio – Switzerland) with purposes of work and study activity where my thesis work has been designed, developed and laid out for the Bachelor’s degree course. • The “TPG (Tinext PhotoGallery SAAS)” project manages the interaction in an n-tire system between the users and the photo-gallery through technologies J2EE, JAX-WS e JAAS. • The project is developed using a middleware called Hibernate, between logic (EJB) and DBMS mySQL, which permits to manage easily and immediately. • The front-end contains many features designed in HTML, PHP, JavaScript and Java/JSP using dynamic and active Web 2.0. May 2008 During the Bachelor’s Degree in the Algorithms course I developed the TSP Ant Colony project. • Purpose is to build software using known and reliable algorithms to reach the best solution for a specific problem. • The best algorithm developed is Ant Colony Algorithm, which says that with the fewest number of moves, the ants are able to reach the goal by releasing ant pheromone that will allow them to return back home. May 2008 and October 2007 During the Bachelor’s Degree in the Graphic Computing course I developed the project, below described, for a company named SUPSI SpaceLab. Title: TI-Sat GUI, TI-Sat Orbit Description: • These projects represent the TIsat-1 satellite orbiting around the Earth. • The first part of the project computes and controls the position of the satellite. • The second part shows the motion of the satellite with OpenGL.
