Since January 2014 Tata Technologies – Rivalta di Torino (Italy): Manufacturing Engineer at GE Aviation Main Responsibilities and Results: I am responsible for Manufacturing Engineering and Technologies for various parts (housings). I work with Production, Quality, Logistics, Engineering in order to solve all the problems regarding the parts I am in charge of. I am responsible for the identification and implementation of process improvement activities, through the application of a structured process (Pareto charts of the defects, identification of Systemic Root Causes and Short and Long Term Actions for every single feature contained in the charts and implementation of DMAIC methodology). I manage process improvement activities, monitoring through charts the effects of improvement actions on the historical trend of QN’s (Quality Notifications) issued. I am responsible for the Preliminary Reviews, aimed at the identification of the actions (reworks, re-inspection, etc…) needed to solve the issues for the features on Inspection Anomaly Sheets. I am responsible for the activities of process/product auditing (Print to Part Reviews) and for the consequent corrective actions, collaborating with Customer Quality representatives. I am responsible for the identification of Root Causes and consequent Corrective Actions for defective parts, in collaboration with Quality, Production and Engineering. As a result of the mentioned activities, I have reduced by 75% the issue of QN‘s for defects. I am responsible for the Tools Management project aimed at the optimization of tools management in the area of housings, in collaboration with other five consultants, Indirect Materials Purchasing and other internal resources. June – November 2013 Global Partner Solutions – Naples (Italy): Supplier Surveillance Representative for Bombardier Main Responsibilities and Results: I provided support at customer’s supplier Magnaghi facility for C-Series program, ensuring that all components on order were being delivered at the required committed dates. I improved efficiency with the supplier and targeted specific problematic areas with the objective of streamlining and trimming down lead-time on parts where applicable. I acted on behalf of the customer Bombardier being its “eyes and ears”. I ensured that all sub-tier suppliers that were doing work for the supplier were on target and not causing delays which eventually were used as excuses by the main supplier to the customer. In some instances, I have needed to travel to sub tier suppliers when requested and authorized to expedite deliveries from there as well. I constantly and accurately communicated with the customer, in the form of emails, phone calls and conference calls.
