Dealer Station on CaaS Solution (Citrix as a Service) – phase 1. Until Sep 2016
Migration of existing Dealer Station from client PC to Citrix Legacy Farm, used by over 4000 concurrent users, to the new XenApp solution provided by the CaaS (Citrix As A Service) infrastructure, with about 200 virtual servers.
The new service will be provided in Mission Critical solution. In case of disaster on one of two sites, the up site will host the users impacted.
Dealer Station on CaaS Solution (Citrix as a Service) – phase 2. Until Nov 2016
Migration of existing Dealer Open from old web application, through internet to Citrix Legacy Farm, used by over 1000 concurrent users, to the new XenApp solution provided by the CaaS (Citrix As A Service) infrastructure, with about 64 virtual servers.
The new service will be provided in Mission Critical solution. In case of disaster on one of two sites, the up site will host the users impacted.
Project and role:
Through this project, Vodafone Italia centralize its applications on Citrix
Altran Italy was the referent for the implementation of migration on the new Citrix infrastructure. Give support to Vodafone operation to solve issue and analyze improvement of the architecture.
Main activities:

Rollout support & Training to Operation Support Team
Support of application installation on servers Citrix XenApp 6.5 and fix issues on infrastructure
Definition/revision of the ramp up activity migration patterns of the shops from the previous client environment to the new Citrix platforms
