System Engineer – ENEL
May 1990 – December 1994 (4 years 8 months)
System Engineer team Leader at CISE (now CESI), ENEL research center, responsible for
the specification, design and testing of an integrated system for the supervision and
monitoring of the ENEL power plants (SIM, Integrated Monitoring System).
The project, realised in co-operation with Elsag-Bailey S.p.A., is now in operation in the
majority of the ENEL power plants. The Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System
(SCADA) was designed to provide both the real time alarms and the indications on how to
better plan maintenance activities in the ENEL energy plant.
The project included innovative sensors distributed in the energy plant, collection of
measurements, post-processing of raw data, trend analysis and alarms triggering.
This was one of the major projects realized for ENEL by Cise.
