 PROJECT 1:  Walmart 5 Digit Store change – Order Management Application (Wipro)

Client VF corporation, USA

Domain Retail – Consumer Goods

Duration May 2015 – February 2017(support till May 2017):

During this duration around 300 components has been changed in batch and CICS to incorporate 5 digit store for Walmart customer.

Role Mainframe Developer-L1 – Once Tech spec is provided by lead, CUT (Coding and unit testing) had been done and test results walk through had been given to client directly.

SCREEN DESIGN: CICS screen had been designed using SDF, SDF2 and ASMB language as per client requirement.

PROGRAM SKILL: Cobol program in both Batch and CICS scenario had been written using Flat file, VSAM, DB2/ISQL table. Subroutines had been written initially to load the backend database with data from customer and same subroutine had been applied in each program to reduce code redundancy.

JCL and ESP: JCL has been written to run batch series for newly developed programs and ESP schedule has been given to ITS team to incorporate accordingly.

PROJECT 2:  Jeanswear Order Management – Small PPMS

Role

Mainframe Developer-L2 – As developer/Lead, attended meeting with client to get DRQ (Design requirement). Once discussed with team, developed Technical specification and given walk through to client. Once Tech spec is approved, CUT and integration testing had been performed. Once BA approved everything, UAT and GOLIVE has been planned accordingly.

PROJECT 3:  Jeanswear Order Management – Support

Mainframe Support-L3 – As Support lead, handled batch failures with zero escalation. Handled P1/P2/P3 and got customer/BA satisfaction.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

VF Corporation is an apparel company which supports brands such as Lee, Wrangler in Jeanswear, uniform wear like Redcap, Bulwark etc., it also supports brands Timberland in footwear’s and Coca-Cola in food beverages. This project deals with the manufacturing, forecasting, customer order management and inventory management of the apparels.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Senior Project Engineer, to coordinate with the client directly regarding their issues

Ø  Served as an SME(Subject Matter Expert – Offshore) and provided effective solutions to improve performance  across project

Ø  Involved in the Analysis, design and development of System request from Business Analyst and prepared program specifications on the functional design.

Ø  Involved in resolving user tickets and production issues

Ø  Reviewing and testing the code changes made by the team members

Ø  Provided status of ongoing activities to client Managers during weekly status meeting

Ø  Coordinated with onsite team regarding various issues

Ø  Conducted training sessions and arranged case studies for the Entry level trainees.

SUPPORT ROLE:

Ø  To support User Incident on the Order Management system to find root cause of the issue and resolving it with small enhancement over the system.

Ø  To proactively monitor the Batch flow and resolve the issue. Priority 1 and Priority2/3 incident have been handled with proper customer communication.

Ø  To support problem management and service task created by user to enhance the system.
