Project: Ameriprise Financial Inc. Role: Technology Lead Team Size: 15 Description: Enhancement to be done to the Certificate System of Ameriprise Financials in order to introduce four new products with different features. The 4 new products namely Step-up rate certificate, Stock market certificate 1 year, Stock Market certificate 2 year, and Stock Market Certificate 3 year were introduced in to the line of the existing products such as Flexible savings, cash reserve, Stock Market, Market Strategy certificate. The three new products SMC 1, 2, 3 would mimic the existing SMC for the product features, and a new process of TAX reporting would be introduced for the same, which would include the 1099OID and 1099B reporting. The Step-up rate certificate would mimic the flexible savings certificate for the product features, with the difference being that this certificate would give the flexibility to the client to step their interest rates up with in a term, for 1 or 2 times depending on the Term chosen, and a new process of TAX reporting would be introduced, that would be 1099OID reporting. Environment: z/OS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CHANGEMAN, FILE-AID, ABEND-AID, RDZ. Responsibilities:  Participate in business and system requirements sessions with client team  Requirements elicitation and translation to technical specifications  Provide inputs on solution architecture based on evaluation/understanding of solution alternatives, frameworks and products  Interact with clients to elicit architectural and non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability.  Work with cross work streams, and determining solution design impacting the core frameworks and components  Perform impact analysis; prepare estimations and Implementation plan for the project.  Design applications based on identified architecture/Solution and support implementation of design by resolving complex technical issues faced by the IT project team during development, deployment and support.  Delivering new and complex high quality solutions.  Leading the team, providing technical assistance and providing proper feedback.  Preparing daily workloads for staff & co-coordinating the daily allocation of work.  Organizing daily meetings to keep track of allocated work in each stream and risk involved.  Implementation planning.  Analysis, Design, Development, System testing, supporting users during UAT and implementation.

Project: Express Script. Role: Senior Software Engineer Team Size: 8 Description Express Scripts is America's largest and most trusted prescription drug benefit managers. Express Scripts has made a commitment to provide prescription drug services to millions of members nationwide. NRx online is an application which enables users to do prescription entry, refill, reversal etc. The NRX is responsible for data entry process at the Express Scripts home delivery pharmacies. Express Scripts is the largest mail order pharmacy system in the United States and fills and hundreds of thousands of prescriptions every week. Each and every one of these goes through NRX system on its way to the dispensing stations in the pharmacies. Environment: OS/390, COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM and Endeavor. Responsibilities:  Attending client/business meetings for gathering requirements of the projects.  Understanding the business functionality of the system and solving the issues faced by the clients.  Analyze the business specifications provided by the clients, estimating the effort to fix the Critical Customers issues.  Handling Design, Coding, Reviewing and Testing for projects.  Documenting the projects handled including Detail Design, Test plan & cases, test results.  Testing and Reviewing all the work products sent to clients  Adhering to the Client Quality process and programming standards.

Project: Northern Trust Company. Role: System Analyst Team Size: 10 Description The Northern Trust Company is a leading provider of specialized financing and asset management services. We support and maintain their critical path applications used for back office financial accounting. The work for Hex aware is received in the form of new application development, enhancements in the existing application, minor preventive maintenance and FIRECALL support. Fee+ calculates, bills, and posts trust custody, management, and transaction fees for Personal Financial, Corporate & Institutional, and Investment Services business units provided by client. Fees are based on pointin-time asset valuations, transaction volumes, one-time services, and flat rates. Environment: OS/390, z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SCLM, FILE-AID, FILE MARVEL, SPUFI, CONTROL-M and SQL. We support and maintain their critical path applications used for back office financial accounting. The FEI (Fee electronic invoice) application was developed to automate and track the iteration process between administrators and analysts for review of client invoices. Environment: OS/390, z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SCLM, FILE-AID, FILE MARVEL, SPUFI etc. Responsibilities:  Coding.  Preparing the Unit / Integration test plan.  Executing the Unit / Integration testing.  SPUFI for testing SQL queries Test data creation and data analysis.  Developing the new codes using COBOL, DB2, and JCL.  System Testing Phase (Support).).
