Project Description 

The new impairment requirements in IFRS 9 are based on an expected credit loss model and replace the IAS 39 incurred loss model. The expected credit loss model applies to debt instruments (such as bank deposits, loans, debt securities and trade receivables) recorded at amortized cost or at fair value through other comprehensive income, plus lease receivables, contract assets and loan commitments and financial guarantee contracts that are not measured at fair value through profit or loss.
As part of IFRS9 Impairment calc, I will extract both wholesale (Corporate loans, Overdrafts, Treasury, non-funded & Unused Limits) and Retail (Personal loans, Auto loans, Housing loans & Credit Cards) portfolio's on Monthly basis and will reconcile with F&P before going to upload into Moody’s ECL engine. Once we will upload the file and run the ECL engine, the tool will provide the Output file with the LGD, PD, Stage and Provision details by the Instrument wise. the Provision details will be published in the Chart of accounts.

Ford is one of the World’s most leading motor companies which specialized in 4 wheelers. In order to keep the business and customer in high and as a norm they are providing insurance to the products purchased in the company. And the warranty of those purchased claims are maintained locally by the region wise. In order to bring stability in the warranty department and as their motto for ONE FORD the One warranty solution has been brought up. Old systems are being replaced in the newly modified, unified system where all the warranty related claims come under one radar. This was fully done in the front end by pega tool and for data warehousing and for other data movement ETL tool has been engaged.
 The Ford OWS program will facilitate quicker and accurate retrieval of warranty information from dealers using a single global warranty reporting and processing system.  The OWS system will capture the various procedures that make up the warranty claim process in a single container. Thus, the OWS system will allow Ford to manage the warranty process more efficiently.

Project Description 

Allianz General Insurance Company (AGIC) Open Product Underwriting System (OPUS) is the system used to know about the General Insurance details of the company. The source system is Oracle which contains the General Insurance Details. General insurance is typically defined as any insurance that is not determined to be life insurance. General insurance or non-life insurance policies, including automobile and homeowners’ policies, provide payments depending on the loss from a particular financial event.

Aim of the project is to build a Data mart which is used to store the historical data by capturing the changes happens at the operational data base. From the Oracle source system extract the data by using an IBM – Info Sphere Change Data Capture (CDC). CDC integrated with data stage by Direct connect option. Once the CDC extracted and pulled the data into Staging area then through data Stage jobs loading the data into DIM & FACT tables as per the business rules.

Through CDC daily refresh job will run which will capture the changes (deleted records, new records, updated records) happened at operational database. based on Operational data base changes CDC will generate the Indicator (D for Deleted records, A for updated records, I or inserted records) and loads into staging tables in SQL server from staging table loading into historical tables.

The BCB reporting is designed to calculate Profit & Loss Report for Items Interest Income, Interest Expense, FTP Income & Expense, Non-Interest Income, Opex, Loan Loss provision, etc. For all Products (Like Trade, Non-Trade, Forex Income etc..).

For every Item we will get an input files on or before every month 7th day. (end of the first week) From different source systems which contains the data for previous month. After receiving the source files earlier, they are applying the business rules/formulas on the source data manually by taking the dump of source files in excel sheet for every individual item.

Aim of this project to develop a dimensional model to load this data into an enterprise data mart and calculate MTD, YTD and variance which is used for business decision making process.
for this we will get the GL & cost centers information which used to get the GL item amount (income/expense) by cost center wise. Once we got this amount then we can get the Profit & Loss by LOB (Line of business) wise. Some group of cost center will give one LOB (like CSF, SME CENTERS, etc.). all LOB'S consolidated will give a final P & L report.
