Principali attività e responsabilità

• AWS Cloud Infrastructure
– Responsible for maintaining of 2-3 different testing and 2 production environments in two AWS
Regions (eu-west-1 EU Ireland and us-east-1 US N.Virginia)
– Supporting the development team in their day to day activities.
– Create CloudFormation templates to automate infrastructure deployments.
– Installation, configuration and administration of Linux (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu) servers
– Hardening Linux systems using Lynis, AIDE, iptables
– Installing and deploying, using Chef recipes or Ansible playbooks, Nginx, Apache, Php, Redis
– Manage horizontal scaling of Nginx frontends (behind ELB), Mongodb (Sharded Cluster) nodes, ect., using AutoScaling groups
– Configure networking, security groups and Network ACLs on AWS VPCs (Virtual Private Cloud)
– Design roles and groups using AWS IAM (Identity and Access Management)
– Manage SSL/TLS certificates with AWS Certificate Manager
– Utilize AWS CLI to automate snapshots and backups to S3 buckets
– Create personalized AMIs for testing/production purposes
– DNS Management with Route53 (37 Hosted Zones serving GEO DNS queries and hosts health checks)
– Monitoring logs, live traffic, CPU memory disk utilization
– Create/maintain documentation for operational procedures
• On-Premise Infrastructure
– Responsible for maintaining on-premise infrastructure:
VMware Cluster (2 ESXi Hosts), 1 VMware vCenter server, Active Directory services, 2 DC, 50
workstations, 60 users, Remote Desktop Services, 1 FreeBSD server as web cache/filter using Squid, 1 Debian Asterix voip services, 2 Ubuntu, 3 CentOS (testing purposes), 2 CiscoASA5505 firewall and vpn services
