Jul 2013–Present Lead Developer Jarvis Personal Assistant https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.evec.jarvis Creation, design and development of a personal vocal assistant for Italian speakers. The app, currently published on the Play Store, uses Android speech-to-text and text-to-speech integrated services to enable an hands-free usage experience with the device. Using only vocal commands, the user can: ▪ send and read SMS. ▪ call a contact. ▪ search for nearby point of interest, like restaurants and caffè. ▪ retrieve structured data from wikipedia. ▪ read the latests news using RSS feeds. ▪ modify some settings of the device, like the screen brightness. The user can naturally interact with the vocal assistant, without the needs to speak predefined or formal commands. The vocal assistant can also detect insults and other feelings described by the user, and reply in a correct way. The app also integrates an Hot-Word detection to launch the application when the user utters a specified word.
