Principali attività e responsabilità

8 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering, GIS, geographic data and regulation, early warning system, risk mapping, disaster losses database and disaster risk reduction at national and international level

Good knowledge of EU Good Practices and methodology for collecting and sharing Disaster Loss Data; Experience in application of Joint Research Center EC guidance and methodology for recording and sharing disaster damage and loss data at National and International level; in depth knowledge of SENDAI disaster loss indicators;

in depth knowledge of INSPIRE directive for data exchange and interoperability;

Experience in analysis of EU Members Good Practices for approaching the EU Floods Directive 2007/60/EC;

Development and definition of indicators for the web-GIS platform, named FloodCat, established by law (Directive of the President of the Council of Ministries, Dir.P.C.M. 49/2015) by the Italian government. FloodCat is the official technological platform for reporting historical and potential future floods according to the EU Floods Directive. This catalogue of flood events, managed by the Italian Civil Protection, is available to Regions and River Basin Authorities (FD Competent Authorities), that fulfills the function and use to address the requirements of the FD;

Experience in overview and analysis of Disaster Loss Data storage at global scale;

Experience on implementation of international capacity building project on disaster risk assessment and management

Experience with Information Management System for disaster Risk Management

Excellent skills in planning, configuration, installation and maintenance of application services for geo-spatial data

Excellent skills in preparation, organisation and analysis of geo-spatial data

Experience in the organization and conduction of trainings for adult professionals in disaster loss data accounting system.

Proven track of partecipating in Training program at Academic level (Bachelor level at University Genova) and high specialization courses (courses for Civil protection managers)

Good Knowledge of the EU policy on Civil Protection Mechanism and risk assessment
