• Name and type of organisation
providing education and training Seconda Università degli studi di Napoli – Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale e dell'informazione DIII – Aversa
• Thesis work "Robust and Optimal control of a Two-Axis Gimbal for Aeronautic applications"
Supervisor: Prof. Alberto CAVALLO
• Thesis' main topic The aim of this thesis is to study a robust and optimal control for UAV guidance. The UAV is modelled via Matlab-Simscape to simulate 3D scenarios, adopting Model-Based Design. In order to track targets and control the rates of LOS azimuth and elevation planes, a robust and optimal control is developed.
Random seeker noises sources are modelled and introduced into the tracking system, to ascertain the robustness of the control when the mechanics is affected by environment disturbances and errors.
