Polytechnic University of Turin – ITALY , Department of Electronic & Computer Engineering.
▪ Thesis Title: NFSK signal transmission system over a radio mobile channel.
The thesis describes first the phenomena that affect the propagation of electromagnetic
waves , passing in a subsequent to the calculation of the probability of error symbol (
Symbol Error Probability "SEP") for frequency numerical modulation schemes (NFSK) on
multipath fading with additive white Gaussian noise channels .The process of fading
considered is of type frequency-selective with various statistics of first order (Rayleigh,
Rice, Hoyt , Nagakami-m). There is a simulation of a NFSK transmission system on AWGN
channel and channel with Rayleigh , and Rician types. The work begins from the
architecture of the transmitter and receiver on AWGN radio channel. The simulations were
carried out using the simulation Matlab tool . The error probability of the simulation
(empirical) is compared with the calculation of analytical analysis . There are shown
different curves of error probability as a function of the signal / noise ratio for each model
fading and for each value of NFSK signal transmitted. The probability of empirical error
coincides with the analytical analysis
