EDUCATION AND TRAINING
2010 – 2012 Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering Communication, Networks, Systems and Services (CN2S) Alma Mater Studiorum, Faculty of Engineering Bologna Graduation with rate 110 / 110 cum Laude Acquired skills: ▪ Consolidation of TLC knowledge gained during three years degree, emphasizing “Services” and “Software” aspects. All courses were taught in English language. ▪ TLC Networks; ▪ Radio Systems; ▪ Wireless Sensors Networks; ▪ Wireless Communication Systems; ▪ Light Wave Engineering; Master thesis in Wireless Sensors Networks (Prof. Chiara Buratti): “Wireless Body Area Networs based on IEEE 802.15.6 Standard” The thesys is part of the European project “Wiserban”. The project aims at creating a Wireless Body Area Network (BAN) which overcomes actual limits in this sector. Through some sensors implanted directly in the human body and coordinated by an external smartphone, it will be possible to monitor vital parameters with application in medical, sportive and life style habits.
January – June 2012 Exchange period with KTH (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) Royal Institute of Technology through European program ERASMUS KTH Stockholm , Sweden Courses: ▪ Developing Mobile Application – Prof. Konrad Tolmar, Prof. Ali Yavari; ▪ Wireless Communications Systems – Prof. Anders Västberg
2006 – 2010 Three years Degree in in Telecommunications Engineering Alma Mater Studiorum, Faculty of Engineering, Bologna Graduation with rate 101 / 110 Acquired skills: ▪ Mathematical analysys; ▪ Physics; ▪ Informatics and program languages; ▪ Electrical Communication; ▪ Electromagnetic waves propagation; ▪ TLS Systems; ▪ Electronics; ▪ Information Theory; Thesis in Propagazione L-A, Optics (Prof. Paolo Bassi): ”Study on diffraction effects by aperture” The work shows how it is possible to create new pupil’s shape functions using an approach based on Fourier Transform of the input signal. A Matlab script has been created. It gives the transmittance function of a lens by introducing, as input, the longitudinal shape of the electromagnetic wave in a given region of the space.
2001 – 2006 Scientific High School, experimental curriculm Informatics Liceo Guglielmo Marconi, Sassari Graduation with rate 100 / 100
