2010 – Partner Data Aquisition and Reporting P4 Release  I have built a specific inbound and outbound sourcing scorecard for status disposition and tracking. Additionally I provided analysis leadership for specific WW DA outbound design deliverables

2010 – 2011  Partner Data Extract  I have been a key analyst and design lead for a Partner Data Extract project defining the data file structures and performing the analysis across the PDAR asset having an impact also in the definition of the front-end deliverables to support the dynamic changes that occurred in the project.  I also worked closely on the definition of what the system would be providing Enterprise Data Warehouse for future reporting and data extractions.

2008 – 2009 – Partner Agreement Module As IT Project Manager I was in charge to lead the efforts to retire several legacy Partner Agreement system into Siebel delivering a new module of the application.  With this solution, Siebel PRM became the single contract management system for nearly 100000 HP partner agreement allowing the retirement of system such as Galaxy, Patsy DE on the Web and Patsy lookup on the web with a total IT and Business OPEX saving of 1.5M in the first two years. I provided also a standardization of Siebel Eclipse interfaces worldwide with sunset of many regional interfaces. The introduction of Global Agreements template provided also a simplified base contractual terms, reducing time needed for contractual development, review and acceptance, allowing the business to manage the contracts individually and en masse without any IT support or development assistance.  In this context, I not only acted as Project Manager but I was deeply involved in the analysis and in the solution architecture design. As outcome of this project in the September 2009, more than 22000 NA partners were able to access the Global Partner Portal to download review ad sign their partner agreement and addenda

2006 – 2008 EMEA Check Engine As IT Project Manager I was in charge to retire a  EMEA businesses owned application aimed to measure Partner performance and qualify them as Platinum,Gold or Silver. I architected, designed and implemented a new solution based on IT standard such as Informatica Power Center and Business Object, then managed the following release cycles from the requirements collection up to the code delivery.

2006 – Partner Self-Profiling As IT Project Manager I was in charge to analyze and design a Partner Self Profiling solution based on Siebel and Siebel Portal for EMEA Partner aimed to retire a legacy application. I suggested leveraging a new technology stack in Siebel, never used before in the company, Siebel eSmartscript, with the scope of building a web survey for the Partner, collect the data and after approval save them directly into the Siebel Partner Profile minimizing the IT efforts to implement the solution. 

2005 – 2009 – Siebel PRM Partner Profile I was the IT Lead of the module acting as Siebel Senior Consultant designing and/or validating all the solution aimed to fix and/or enhance the module across the various PRM releases. I also was in charge as L4 support helping into the troubleshooting of the issue faced by the application 

2002 – 2006 Siebel Workflow After the deployment of the new Siebel CRM platform I became very quickly a reference point at WW level for Siebel Workflow coordinating the regional development team to ensure an overall good quality of the code released.

2002 – 2004 Siebel PRM Business Planning Module I was deeply involved in many phases of the project, aimed to deliver a global Business Planning solution to help HP and Partner to collaborate in definition and execution of Marketing plan, managing also the fund assigned to them. I gave my contribution into Analysis, Design and Development having also the responsibility of coordinating of a small pool of contractors.

2002 Siebel CRM Marketing Module After the merge with Compaq HP changed the CRM platform from Oracle to Siebel. In such circumstances, I quickly became owner of the new technology and took the role of Analyst/Developer in the deployment of the Marketing module of Siebel CRM

2000 – 2002 – Oracle CRM Installed Base  I had a key role in this Oracle project that had the scope to show into the Oracle CRM application the product installed near HP customer.  The solution made use of a wide range of technology such as PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Java and JSP. I was involved in design, development, testing and support of the solution and I was responsible for a team of contractors.

1996 – 2000 Sistemi Informativi – Programmer/Analyst Prior to join HP I  worked for Sistemi Informativi, an IBM company located in Italy. Initially I have been hired as programmer for an Accountancy solution, fully developed by the company in Oracle Forms for government agencies. After some time spent in the company headquarter as analyst and programmer, and after having developed many data migration procedure and tools, I took the role of consultant to analyze the former Accountancy application of the most important customers, such as the National Research Council- CNR and the Presidency of the Italian Republic, and plan the data migration. This experience helped me to deal with a wide range of systems, very often ad-hoc solution for the given agency, and technologies Publications, patents, awards, speeches

2014 I have got the CIO Award as part of the Salesforce R7 Release team for delivering the biggest and most complex Salesforce.com release in HP ever. This was also the first ever release expanding from a single delivery team to a highly collaborative platform approach across multiple development teams (called development towers), as well as the first time coordinating between 3-month delivery work streams and multiple long running 6-month delivery work streams.

2009 I have got the CIO Award as part of the EMEA PRM Team for delivering dramatic improvement in the globalization, simplification, cost and performance of critical business processes. Before beginning my professional path, I published a couple of article in scientific review as result of his studies in physics regarding the neutrino oscillation phenomenon.

The first article A new design scintillating fiber calorimeter to search for neutrino oscillations in massive underground detectors (Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A, v. 363, p. 604-610 September 11, 1995) is about a new design for an electromagnetic and hadronic calorimeter using the scintillating fiber technology. In this article the proposed calorimeter was optimized for applications in massive underground experiments devoted to neutrino oscillation studies, the layout was described in detail and first results on a prototype presented. Finally, simulations showing the features of the whole calorimeter were discussed. In this context I developed some part of the statistical model of the calorimeter, including simulation, and contributed to the building of the prototype and to the analysis of the result.

The second article NOE: Atmospheric and long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment (Nuclear Physics B – Proceedings Supplements May 1996) is a proceeding of the Fourth International Workshop on Theoretical and Phenomenological Aspects of Underground Physics and further develops the idea presented in the above article and propose the new experiment with more details.

But the my interests in physics were not limited to elementary particle. In 1995 I was invited to have a speech at the LXXXI Congress of Italian Physical Society (SIF) on another branch of physics. Indeed the Thermodynamicsexact differential and types of mathematics (Atti, Section 9, p 187)  speech was about the formulation of the thermodynamics given by the mathematician Caratheodory that for the first time used an axiomatic approach to this branch of the physics introducing also the use of differential equation.

Other Interest

Since the foundation I collaborated as Head of Research and Data Analysis with the online newspaper Termometro Politico, a website dedicated to the data analysis on surveys, political communication and election in Italy. The site is currently (Jun 2014) ranked in Alexa as 554 in Italy overall and 2nd in the political category. My data analysis elaborated with R programming language and presented in Tableau Public have been named many times as “Viz of the Day” by Tableau experts, see here, here and here, and one of them ranked third worldwide in Q1 2013 by number of views

In 2011 participating to an internal contest of my company I developed a mobile application for the WebOS platform using the Enyo framework allowing the external partner user to browse their company most relevant data.
