     It’s a health care project and they were using tools like Datastage and Teradata (database). Being worked in the project for around 38 months, possess good knowledge in business and technical side. It is a data warehouse development project, where they used a common ETL framework. The aim of the project is to sync 2 other vendors into IBC and because of that, they may get more clients. The sources are from different vendors and we need to load source files or tables into target tables. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

•    Understanding the business requirements with the help of Business Analyst and assisting them in giving more feasible solutions.
•    Extensively involved in preparation of Technical design documents, Query log document, Unit Test Cases Documents, peer review document, release plan document.
•    Scheduling a meeting with business owners and onsite managers to discuss for the design based on the requirement given and getting approval for the design.
•    Updating the onsite team about the daily status of the project on a daily basis.
•    Involved in enhancement/modifications of existing Jobs. For enhancements performed impact analysis, design, coding and testing.
•    Involved in end to end code development activities and reviewing with onsite as well as offshore team and deploying the code in higher environment. 
•    Possess a good knowledge on healthcare domain.

Technical Skills Developed:

•    Being first project, I had worked on Datastage (ETL Framework) and used most of the stages in parallel jobs, sequence jobs, containers.
•    Worked on Quality stage for writing small files through hash files.
•    Worked in loading .txt, .csv, fixed width files and also handled .xml files into tables.
•    Worked in some complex jobs, wherein a single job might have more than 10 stages.
•    Performance Tuning, by identifying the performance issues.
•    Worked in various types of jobs like one time load, extract job, scheduled job (daily, weekly, monthly)
•    Handled database like Teradata and written some complex SQL.
•    Worked on Teradata utilities like bteq, mload, fload, fastexport.
•    Worked on complex shell scripting for file validation and also used different unix commands.
•    Involved in some data analytics and back tracked the issue and code fixing for the same.
•    Experience in handling huge volume of data, and performed SQL tuning based on the volume of data.
•    Conducting peer reviews of the code developed by the other team members.
•    Supporting the application for post-production Implementation and resolving the issues/tickets on time.
•    Experience in loading into as well as extracting data from data warehouse.
•    This project runs based on Waterfall methodology.
•    Worked on scheduling tools like Tivoli for job scheduling.

Project Name:           Wealth Manager Platform

     It’s a Banking project and they were using tools like Datastage, Informatica, Teradata (Database). Being worked in the project for around 8 months, possess moderate knowledge in banking domain. The aim of the project is to maintain the customer’s database in an organized way. The project was started from scratch and I was involved in developing most of the components. The source would be always .dat files, which we need to load into a target table. The project was initially started in Datastage tool and later, project was migrated to Informatica. So, I got a chance to learn Informatica in a short time and worked for around 6 months.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•    Understanding the business requirements with the help of Business Analyst and assisting them in giving more feasible solutions.
•    Working on validation of records in Informatica mappings.
•    Extensively involved in preparation of Technical design documents, Unit Test Cases Documents, release plan document.
•    Created mapping sequences, Designs along with various Stages.
•    Maintaining scrum call with onshore to gather requirements.
•    Analyzing requirement given by client and rising gaps if any and translating requirements into formal document and passing to Onsite team for approval by the Client.
•    Delivered new, complex and high quality solutions to the client’s in response to varying business requirements and created quality document meeting the organization standard.
•    Worked on tools like JIRA for reporting purpose and task tracking purposes.
•    Being a senior resource in the team, trained some of my peers and did task allocation.

Project Name:           Mainframe Decommissioning

    It’s a health care project and it is a data migration project. Client is planning to retire entire mainframe systems and they want to place ELT process instead of mainframe. So, they used Teradata and its utilities to migrate the data. In this project, I worked different modules like sourcing and outbound data feeds. I have worked on subject area like Provider, Lab Results. Working in this project for around 12 months.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•    Understanding the business requirements with the help of Business Analyst and assisting them in giving more feasible solutions.
•    Extensively involved in preparation of Technical design documents, Unit Test Cases Documents, release plan document.
•    Handled a team of two members and guided them in working on Datastage, Teradata, and unix.
•    Created Job Sequences, Designs along with various Stages.
•    Analyzing the Mainframe document and Converting entire mainframe code into ETL code using Datastage jobs or ELT scripts.
