I sit within an Oracle Database Administrator team at Ericsson (Fastweb) and work closely with a large number of production Oracle databases. As a technical expert, my main responsabilities were undertaking database installation and upgrade projects, and troubleshooting database performance problems, backups, and recovery process of all the systems. My duties also included making shell and perl scripts, writing java programs, SQL’s and PL/SQL procedures for monitoring databases’ activity.

Working at Ansaldo STS, I was responsible for installing, and administering 10g/11g Oracle databases in single-instance environments on Linux platforms. I was also responsible for writing Java enterprise applications code using frameworks and libraries as Swing, Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, and so on and for coding in SQL and PL/SQL.

2011 october – 2013 december ___In my master thesis research, I worked on NoSQL and RDBMS systems, such as HBase, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL. Concerning the project I developed Java programs and stored procedures in order to compare databases’ performance.
