Analysis and management of a Retail Pos data model for the CHICCO Shops (footwear, clothing, toys) for 4 countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland). I Analysed all the data flows (POS data coming from flat files) and I managed a team of 4 people. I analysed the ETL and also the reporting and authorization profiles. I also managed the stock of each shops and also the master data (Consumer and Card Management). I mixed this data with market Nielsen data in order to prepare marketing high level reporting. I started to work on a SQL based Business Object 6 platform. In the past the client transferred data from SAP BW 3.x to the Business Object Data Base by using BODI.
Starting from 2008, March I worked to create a newer data model based on the SAP BOBJ Integration Kit. The Datawarehouse layer is SAP BI based and the frontend is WEBI on BOBJ XI 3.1 Fixpack 1.7 based.
I’ve prepared a set of report in Crystal Report XI regarding the retail area and also I prepared two very complex books for Stock data including pictures and boxes to schedule for each logistic department.
I created all the new data model, by creating optimized infocubes, aggregates and multiprovider to collect data about different companies. I realized many OLAP Universes (by using Universe Designer) based on BEX queries. I had many troubles at beginning and so I had to solve many issues about, for example, the usage of Variable Filters on OLAP universes (that we solved by using selections in SAP BI). I managed the EHP1 SP04 upgrade in order to be compliant to the SAP instructions. The EHP1 installation is similar to a small release upgrade (I did the upgrade to SAP BI 7.0 in January 2007).
I had to perform many traces for query optimization thus we had a large amount of data and for many times I had to analyze the MDX logs produced by XI 3.1 and all the indications and best practices received by IBM (coming from SHELL project experience) and by SAP AG were not enough to solve our issues. I developed a complex Logistic Data Model and a Retail Data model of 5 countries and Budget and Inventory data. In the last period I worked also on authorizations profiles (with RSECADMIN transaction) to interface SAP BI users authorization with BOBJ authorization (by using alias).

In Artsana I worked also as a BI Manager, managing some new projects and also validating offers of external consultancy and I evaluated technical and functional solutions. I also organized the user activation flow (about the reporting, authorization profiles, organized training, etc.) and I created an organized team for the scheduled data loadings (critical point in this company).
