SPINDOX SPA (AS FREELANCER FOR CLIENT VALENTINO FASHION GROUP) – MILAN
– OCT 2015 – NOV 2015
I was hired as freelancer to help VFG digital team in building their intranet platform: a

Web Developer, Db Administrator
IRCSS SAN RAFFAELE – MILAN – JAN 2007 – SEPT 2015
Design and development of IT infrastructures needed to support the research activities in
the context of genetic studies typically characterised by long calculations on large
amounts of data. To this end, as developer, I have dealt mainly with the creation of multiuser
web interfaces (for the control of data, including sensitive, and process analysis), the
database design (for the management of genotypes, phenotypes, genealogies and
biological samples) and, finally, the development of complex pipelines of analysis to be
executed on remote clusters.
Here is where I comprehended and implemented most of the technologies listed below,
as well as the related best practices. Mainly RubyOnRails (from 2.3 to 4.2), API design,
mySQL db administration and general ruby (from 1.8.7 to 2.2) scripting.

I am a passionate freelance Ruby full-stack web developer with 8 years of experience in structuring, developing and implementing web applications with the popular framework RubyOnRails. I gained experience in all major aspects of software development life cycle, from testing to deployment, in which I feel now very skilled and confident. Although I am mostly a back-end developer, I am really interested in UX Design and I like to face directly graphic design and usability aspects. I also follow-up on the most recent changes in web development and I am active in the open source environment. I am now oriented towards client-side development which I look forward to put in practice at professional level.
