Project Description: Primary objective of the project is the administration of applications installed on EFSA IT Infrastructure. More specifically, the project involved the following applications: SAS and Microstrategy for Datawarehouse management, Opentext for Document management system, Business Objects for business reports. In EFSA there are many custom applications to maintain.
Main activities & responsibilities: The candidate is responsible for the following tasks: Installation, Configuration, Deploy, Integration & Testing; Implementation of workflow. Provision of technical documentation; Participation in meetings.

During this year I managed the SAS upgrade in TEST and PRODUCTION environment from version 9.3 TS1M1 to 9.4 TS1M5, after upgrade I was responsible for the SAS Studio and SAS Web Infrastructure platform installation.
In efsa SAS is used intensively to manage an ETL that collects the scientific data of EFSA partners in order to write them on a data warehouse to make the data usable by the reporting system based on Microstrategy. (https://dwh.efsa.europa.eu/bi).The ETL SAS operates on tables comprising up to 15-18 million records. Personally, I also deal with troubleshooting on tickets opened by SAS developers, performance monitoring and development support.
The SAS ETL is composed by 14 flows containing different jobs and I activate a monitoring system based on appdynamics which make available a sort of heath dashboard so that the operation team is always informed about the operation of the ETL.
